Well know one can forget the DB5's story. The bond producers wanted an Aston Martin , to be precise a DB5. They wanted to update the book. In goldfinger (book) Bond was equipped with a DB3 but they just simply updated it. So the Bond producers just rang the chap up at Aston martin: The guy from Aston Martin said no. "have you seen doctor no?, or from Russia with love? The man said no. Eventually after numerous phone calls the lent them a 2nd hand experimental car. Then they fixed it up with gadgets. Some were simple like the smoke was a guy in the boot getting suffocated with a smoke machine. For more information of this story I would recommend watching Top Gear: 50 years of bond cars.

I know it's not a review but it's a story - that's close enough.
